Fred Meijer Berry Junction Trail

Built on an abandoned C&O Railroad line, the first phase of the Fred Meijer Berry Junction trail is open from Whitehall to McMillan Road in Dalton. With funding secured and engineering completed, construction begins this spring on the final section from Dalton to North Muskegon. It should be completed by this fall.

Muskegon Lakeshore Trail

The 12-mile Muskegon Lakeshore Trail travels along the southern shore of Muskegon Lake from Pere Marquette beach to North Muskegon. Spend an afternoon on this series of paved paths and elevated boardwalks and you'll see why Muskegon is one of Michigan's top tourist destinations. The trail offers stunning views of Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake as it travels among the dunes and through several parks and marinas along the way.

Laketon Trail

The 4-mile-long Laketon Trail is an important connector that links the Muskegon Lakeshore Trail to the Musketawa Trail. It was built on an abandoned rail bed that runs parallel to Laketon Avenue. To connect with the other trails at either end, you must ride along some city streets. To connect with the Muskegon Lakeshore Trail, head west on Southern Avenue and north on Division Street. To connect with the Musketawa Trail, ride south through the industrial park to the trail entrance just north of East Sherman Boulevard on Black Creek Road.

Scenic Drive Connector Route

For some of the best scenery on the lakeshore, the Scenic Drive Connector Route is a rewarding road route that takes you by towering dunes and along golden beaches through Muskegon State Park, Pioneer County Park and Duck Lake State Park.
